Testing Waters: What cxb18c1 worth? (56k beware)
Sorry if this is not allowed in this area. I am thinking about selling my car and I am not sure what it would be worth. I am looking to see what you guys think that I could get for it. Thank you for your time.
Stuff:
Car has 116k miles on it
JDM b18c1 w/ the optional LSD (also has shorter gears)
ObdII converted to obdI
Less then 40k on motor and no grinds
Nuespeed spring/ and tikco struts (in front)
Camber kit on all 4
Cross-drilled rotors in front
Crappy strut tower bars in the front and back
Act clutch (street)
Zex fly (10.4 lb)
Iceman Intake
1/4 mile: 14.0 @ 99.8 w/2.27 60'
best trap: 100.89 (14.1)
Problems:
1. Sound crazy but true * the ecu (jdm obdI p72) does not work when it gets colder then around 50 degrees out. There is a bad connection in it somewhere so it does not work when it gets cold. So a new ecu would have to be bought. I live in FL so it is fine 350 days of the year (always warm out). Otherwise ecu is perfect.
2. Slight leak on passenger side when it rains.
3. No carpet. The rest of the interior is good.
4. Needs to be painted

is that stock muffler with just bigger tip? or what is it? looks good!</TD></TR></TABLE>
It is 2.25 piping all the way back with a generic turbo muffler on it. I love it flow well and not loud.

That run was with no passenger seat and no back seat. And yes all I have is intake, no cat, exhaust. Strong motor. I was racing my friends cx w/ a b18c5 and we are a dead lock. The factory lsd/shorter final drive helps a lot.

do you have a type r tranny or a factory LSD gsr tranny? the gsr DOES NOT have shorter gearing or a higher final drive. the 98+ type r has nice close spaced 1-2-3 and a slightly longer 4-5 with a 4.789 fd. the pre 98 had very nicely spaced 1-5 with a 4.4 fd.
a gsr has longer spaced 1-5 and has a 4.4.
but for a price for your car id say up to 4500 tops on here. maybe about 5 or so local.

I don't think 14 secs is a sleeper
I wouldn't buy a car with a swap already done but I'm sure you'll find someone willing to pay 5000 at most.

You are wrong. My gears (especially 1,2,3) are much shorter then a regular GSR tranny. My tranny is stock to that motor (I assume).

Has the front end been replaced? They look like replacement parts. But i would say about $5000 is a good price.
