Testing waters for possible Catz H4 HID Bi-xenon group buy>>>
Anyone who is not familiar with the Catz H4 HID xenon kit here is a bit of info:
These are the highest quality HID xenon kits on the market. The kits are manufactured in Japan in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 certified manufacturing facilities. Catz HID xenon kits are comprised of Matsushitsa ballasts (Panasonic) and Bellof bulbs. Matsushitsa supplies to all OEM Japanese automotive manufacturers who utilize HID xenon optical systems. Most of the Japanese LeMans teams, and JGTC use the Bellof bulbs in their cars. Bellof is not as well known as Hella, or Philips but their reputation is highly regarded.
The H4 Hi/Low kit works by employing an actuator/solenoid to move the bulb back and forth thus changing the angle at which light is emmitted. Catz was the first to introduce this technology for applications that require hi/low beam functions from a single lighting element.
Pricing for the H4 hi/low group buy would look something like this.
For 4300K: 1-6 people-$573, 7-15 people-$553, 16+ people-$528
For 5500K: 1-6 people-$649, 7-15 people-$626, 16+ people-$598
For 6000K: 1-6 people-$724, 7-15 people-$698, 16+ people-$670
If you are interested in setting up a group buy or have any questions on the Catz H4 hi/low beam kit please post a response,IM, or e-mail me: trevor_tan@visualdynamics.ca
For those who are not familiar with our company just do a search on honda-tech.com for us. We have been mainly selling to the Type R/GSR group but with the new Catz h4/9007 hi/low kits we are able to cater to other car groups that require both high and low beam functions.

Not for a true Hi Lo system and not with Catz components and not from a reputable seller.
We've already spoken Trevor.

I don't want to ***** your post up Trevor, but liteswap.com (where I got my kit) has it for way cheaper. Be competitive, slash your prices man

Weren;t these the SAME kits that I was praising months ago? Yet people would not believe me on their quality.
Trevor, now that you are selling both the "Philips Kits" and Catz, which would you recommend? Just curious.

This is the 9006 setup though...I don't believe there is a Philips H4 kit on the market...I may be mistaken though...

Is there any custom mounting or housing adjustments needed to be made for these bulbs to work inside standard H4 housings? If this group buy is a little later down the road (about a month or so) I would be interested. I don't how others feel, but personally I hate my EG headlights. Only thing....can the price go lower than that? Also, you might get a better response in the "Best Buys" forum

these prices are right on par for a true hi/lo kit that doesnt just rely on some crappy shield movement to make hi and lo beams. they are made to but the bubble in the bulb directly where the stock h4 bulb filament is, which helps to reduce glare and give a decent cut-off, even in reflector headlamps. then, the entire bulb moves for high beams, letting the ligt glare higher upward giving you your high beams. belloff makes some awesome bulbs. they sell full kits as well, but they run upwards of $800 for just lo beam kits and are hard to find. to be honest, if i hadnt just switched to jdm headlamps i would highly consider this kit. and i still ight later on down the road knowing that trevor will be carrying them. for all the h4 bulb civics out there, this kit is a great deal. good luck trevor.

Phillips does make a H4 bulb. And the hi Lo system that moves the actual bulb is a decent price.

From the comparison pic, it looks like the Philips has hotspots above the beam pattern cutoff.... hmmm could be bad for glare :/

Aren't those Catz HID's the "old style" since they have a seperate igniter instead of the integrated one like the Hella kits.

There is no "old" style. It is a different design. The Matsushita ballast/igniter in the Catz kit are the latest generation of that design.
Don't be confused with the older ones that might be on the market.

Both kits are awesome, but look at that horrible cut off line! Talk about glare!
You need OEM Projectors to make HID worth while
