Honestly I would put it on eBay starting at $500 with No Reserve and advertise it everywhere you can. You'd be surprised at how much some shells go for.

Thanks for the reply but my real question is how much would you guys hold out for? Like what is the least you would take or the most you would pay for one that is in this condition

Thanks
Phil

Define lowered. Is it just put down a little on ebay springs or is it done right? Lowering a shell incorrectly on Honda-Tech actually detracts from the car's worth because then we have to redo it. I'd probably pay upwards of $1800 for it.

We have nothing to base pricing on.

Pics would be nice.

Any rust?

Ever been hit hard?

What else is the car missing besides drivetrain?

The title depends a lot. A clean one is worth a lot more to some people. If it is in decent shape like you describe you will probably be able to find someone who will give you upwards of a grand for it. I've found them around for $500 but thats pretty cheap.

I think $1500 would be about right. Just about everybody who buys a civic swaps the engine out anyway, so buying a car with the engine is extra work. But, you do have to take into account that a buyer will have to pay for shipping/towing if they buy a shell.

id say about 1000 even is all you will get off someone on honda-tech. you might get more if you advertise around your area.

dude i think $700 dollars is the most I would pay for it. I had a 94 gsr shell with good paint and almost full interior never been in an accident or anything and I got $2000 for it. But A civic is a different story especially on east coast. I can buy a 92-95 hatchback in delaware from between $500 - $1000 with motor in them. If you lucky I say you would get $1000 for it on ht.

Actually buying a car without an engine is extra work too. How are you going to transport the car? Sure where there's a will there's a way (I towed a non-running hatchback 700 miles to get it home) but I'm just saying that having no engine is NOT a positive for most people.
