Default Test pipe question...

I bought a test pipe off a guy and was stupid (being the noob I am) to ask whether or not it was off a hatch or coupe (if that matters). I have a 99 EX coupe and went to mate it up to the header and catback and found the test pipe was about 4 inches too short.

Have you guys expirienced any problems? Any recomendations?

Yup, their different legnths. Time to go to a muffler shop, but i dont know how VA's laws are with emissions. In allot of states like CA or NJ, shops will NOT install those things for you, due to laws.

I know someone who can do the welding for me...I already wrapped the test pipe with exhaust wrap however. Could I cut the rear section of the catback (near the flange) and extend that?

If you know someone that can do it for you, then by all means go for it.
Be aware that there are hefty fines against running no catalytic converter, go ahead and check virginia's D.O.T site.

Recent laws were passed for EPA standards.
That means if a cop pulls you over and finds you have no CAT, your in allot of trouble. Just warning you now, rather than face the consequences later.
