Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
-The radiator will have mounting holes on the front and back.
- 4 little metal brackets will allow the condenser to be bolted to the front of the radiator, and a dual fan shroud can be made for the backside.
-The bumper can be notched to allow the whole unit to move forward somewhere between 1.5” to 3”.
- There’s an M22x1.5 hole that an M22x1.5 to M18x1.5 adapter can allow the fan switch to be used.
- Hoses... Shouldn’t be a problem. There’s enough crap laying around the shop to make something work.
- Compressor to condenser line will need to be re-routed and will need a new hose made with a 90degree fitting (I have 2 or 3 extra from kits) on one end.
EDIT: Radiator was right around $35 from Amazon. It may pop in 6months, but that’s cheap enough for research purposes.

Yall make me jealous with the cheap parts in the states... That 35 dollar radiator can't be had for less than 70 bucks here in Canada.

Installed some Megan torque bushings and RTA bushings. Used a Sawzall to cut the metal ring and was able to use a 3lb hammer to get them out. Had to sand some of the paint off the new ones, it was extra thousandths that made it a PITA to fit back in. Did it with the trailing arms on the car, just unbolted the camber arm, trailing arm from lca and then pulled down the front and loosened the toe arm (Not where the adjustment is made) left the brake line and e-brake connected.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
I’ll post some *hopefully* next week. My wife’s G35 needs ball joints, and my parents just bought an 06 Odyssey for $3000 that Dad asked me to change timing belt, valve cover gaskets, adjusting valve lash, and see about addressing why his CEL is on. PLUS they’re delivering my sheetrock around Wednesday...

New radiator
Some upper radiator bushings from a 2000 GM pickup radiator fit right in! That will be the top.
The metal inserts for the bushings will also be used.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
92 Golf radiator came in yesterday as did my 100+ 4x12 sheets of drywall and 50+ sheets of 4x8 green (waterproof) drywall.
Got the ball joints/control arms done on my wife’s G35 week before last and got most of the plethora of stuff done on my dad’s Odyssey last week (it needs a rear motor mount).
I picked up a 5/16” cap this morning from NAPA to cover an outlet on this new radiator, and I hope to at least get my condenser mated to the new radiator tonight.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
For two days, I kept getting whiffs of antifreeze. When I backed into the driveway Friday afternoon, the smell was really strong so I popped the hood to check it out. Yep, toast... it was leaking between the plastic tank and the element on the front side. Luckily, I caught it in time and she's all good now.
