well when i first got interested in cars i liked regals and cars with switches but, after a while i didn't really like them anymore they were getting played so one day when i was 15 years old i was going down to key largo, and i see this guy driving a 90-91 crx Si dropped with some 16 inch racing dynamics and an exhaust, well after i saw that car i told my dad "hey thats the car i want to get",and he was like yeah right you can drive our cars, and i really did,'t want to drive my parents car,so when i turned 16 i started looking for a crx and couldn't find any cheaper than $3500 ,so one of my freinds bought one from up north the car was in mint condition,he later wanted to upgrade to a bigger car so he asked me if i was interested in buying it ,i was like hell yeah i gave him 2500 for it because i had a hit fender and the a/c wasn't working to good,so i fixed it up a bit i dropped it ,threw an exhaust on it and threw in some black nsx seats, those are the best seats i have ever sat in anyways i drove it for almost 2 years, ripping people new ******** with this litle car, then one day i line up to this 92-95 Si and i was breathless the car was badass so i decided i had to sell the crx and get one, well i looked and went to dealers no one had any for sale,so 1 day i'm driving home by this side street and i see a black 94 Si just sitting in this guys driveway so i pass by a couple days later and it's in the same spot i decide to turn back and ask if it's for sale to my luck it was the guy had leased and the lease was up and they were going to come p/u the car so i asked him what the payout was he told 5800 so i got a loan from my parents and bought it before i had even sold the crx,i eventually dropped the car threw some bbs's on it a greddy sp,p/p head, and a web cam with a 40 shot ,i got tire of that put in a b16a2 drove with that motor for a year and half and put in the h22,and then bought the cx from some guy that had it laying around, and fixed it up a bit,and this is where i am now(sorry about it being so long)

it all started when i was 1.5 yrs. old when my dad took me to see formula one cars race at the 1979 long beach grand prix. i remember watching 935s race at riverside back in the day. ive been to a shitload of gtp imsa races watching 956, 962, nissans, jaguars, toyotas, chevys, etc. not to metion the gts, gto, and gtu races. ive been to the long beach grand prix 17 yrs in a row. anyways, since ive been a little kid my dad has taken me to all sorts of racing events. also, hes a porsche mechanic, so i dont pay any labor. ive always wanted to be a racecar when i grew up. my first car was a 66 bug with a 1300 motor all orginal. i got my 94 coupe in 97. i wanted a honda b/c they were lightweight, affordable, and there were a lot of parts available for my car. the reason i didnt buy a hatch was because i didnt want to drive around in half a car. my car has always looked stock because i was never into the rice scene. i wanted people to think my car was stock, so that others think they can show me up. the most ricest thing ive done to my car was probably having those blue tint bulbs that actually looked green but were illegal as hell. i took them out as soon as every car on the street had them. i have never bought a body kit, rims(no money), interior redesign, or decals. right now imma get a motor (b16a) and im going all out lightenting my car (no heater blower, heater core, a/c thoughout, no radio or speakers, no cruise control, no firewall mat, etc.) to compete with the hatches. im only looking for my car to be respectable so that i can go road racing or autocrossing.

for me it started when i was takin my dog out, and i saw this integra taht was h00ked up with some volk av3s i beieve is wut they were called. anywh00t i feel in love there i was 15.. and soi saw the guy and asked if i could take pictures of his car. he said that he had a website with some pictures and i went to it and asked if i could redesign it from him in return to teach me about imports, and when i turned 16 i bought my 1996 civic coupe. and then i got in with a shop around here. not the best shop to be aquainted with but then i got my intake and etc. etc. and got into the show scene and was all about modifying cars. then i saw my first "jdm" car at a show, and ever since then ive been about handling suspension and JDM. im werkin on finishing up my civic and attempting to go with a 240 as another project. thas how i got into it. just by seeing a h00ked up car. shoot i was the first at my highschool to have a modified car and brought the import scene to my skewl! =] now its my life aside from skewl and other stuff.. but they say its a life style .. it is. we all live it and now how it is

Growing up, my dad never taught me a lot about cars or anything, but I respected a good looking car. When I got into high school there was a guy that used to give a ride home everyday when I was 15, he had a ford probe with some ugly 16" chrome wheels, but at the time, I thought this was a cool car. After school once, he chased this guy out of the parking lot that had a crx, and the crx schooled that probe hard.

When I turned 16, i got a pos, 89 jetta, it was slow as hell, but i gave it love, weld up flowmaster exhaust, neuspeed springs, kyb shocks, m3 spoiler, racing stripes, but I loved that car. My best friend got a 92 accord, and compared to my car, that thing was soooo nice. He had all the cool stuff like clear tail lights and a huge vinyl "h" on the top of his car. I loved it. I knew that VW's weren't going to be my hobby forever. Then I vistited my home town, and one of the guys i grew up with had a 95 ex automatic with some 16's. I loved it, it looked so nice. I was so impressed by this little car, that I knew it was my destiny.

A couple of months later, the jetta was on her deathbed, and I was driving around when I saw her. A 94 civic EX, 5-spd. 99,000 miles on the od. Within a week, I was teething my 5-spd skills in my now favorite car of all time. I've been through a lot with it, from the 1-piece wiper conversion, to the ammeter that caught fire. But the car still keeps its finess. I recently just took my motor out, first time i've ever done this to my car, but the new swap is on the way, and this will fuel my love for hondas even further.

im into cars in general, not just "honda" but at the moment its my weapon of choice, most of it started in 91 when we were modding my nephews crx w/ a nos kit, i was telling him he was going to blow the motor but he did'nt. (motor was actually sold after he chrashed it too!)

i bought a 93 civic in 92 and i installed a huge competition system (i used be into sound systems back in the day, still am just cant afford it no more)

anyhow after installing big *** stereo in my car i starting looking for go fast goodies cause the weight made the car so slow, make a long story short the car now sports a gsr swap w/ plenty of goodies and a turbo kit going on as i speak... w/ no stereo! ironic eh?

well mine begans probley when i was about 12 or 13

i really liked the ef civics and i couldnt notice a differecne from the 1988-1995 i was ingorant, and wonder why people bought them brand new (I WAS YOUNG!!)

then when i was probley in grade 6 or 7 my neighboor owned a ef civic, pimped it out. Phantom top,exhaust,rims,ect..... caught my attention

then in grade 9 i turned to mustnags!! all i wanted was a v8 blah blah blah. Then some guy on icq showed me his civic and i liked it (I WAS BORN AGAIN!!!) I then found purehonda.com and from that day i wanted a honda

i feel in love with crx's they were cheap and nice. In the beging of grade 12 i bought a 88 crx and learned to drive stick (sold my omega i bought from my grandma for 600 bucks paid 400, then my buddy wrote it off, wasnt his fault thou)

now im debating to sell my crx because of the rust (just graducated grade 12) and buy a eg hb ( I LOVE B18C5-EH2 car, and i was pissed off when you ****** joked bout sellin it =P )

now when im home i read about import cars ITS SO ADDICITING!!

i actually have an accord so i'mm a lil different from you guys hehee. it started with my mom getting a 95 accord while i was in HS. i wasn't really big on hondas and my first car was a 626. after i got into an accident, i was lookin for a new car off and on. i drove down a street on the way to my mothers house one day and saw a white 94 accord and almost had a heart attack . i had to have it. and on top of that, i found out about purehonda so it was sealed. here i am now with an almost bone stock accord looking for a better car (subaru legacy), lol.

It's all cos of my father and older brother. My father was, still is, an mechanical engineer specialising in explosives. Before that he worked on cars. My brother is an electrician. They both used to always take me to drag strips and car shows and i just got hooked on cars. I got hooked on Honda because of VTEC. The first time I heard a VTEC Honda (91 CRX SiR) I was in love. My father told me I should get a Honda Civic for my first car cos of their reliability and the fact that he did not want to have to work on my car all the time. My first car was a Honda and my last car will probably be a Honda.

My first car was a Chevy S - 10 truck. Trucks were the popular car to own when I was in high school. All the rich "preps" drove Accords.

Anyway, I started driving 65 miles a day to school and got tired of the gas mileage so I went to look at buying an economy car. I was always under the impression that Hondas were expensive cars but I ended up going to look at the Civic. Of all the cars I had driven, I thought the Civic handled the best. So I bought a 93 DX. Six months after I had the car, it got into a hail storm so I took the insurance check and traded the car in on a 94 EX. I absolutely loved both of those cars.

In 97, everyone started buying SUVs so I decided I wanted one. I went and bought a 97 EX Passport. After a few months, the new car novelty wore off and I ended up hating the Passport. I will NEVER own another SUV!!! While I was trying to sell it, my mother let me borrow her car to drive which was a 94 Camaro Z - 28. I really liked the car so I ended up buying it from her.

The Camaro soon started to fall apart on me so I once again started looking for another car. I remembered how much I had loved owning a Civic, so I bought a 96 Civic EX.

I drove the EX for a few years but I always missed the power of the Camaro. My roommate had just started getting into autocross and road racing and it was something I had always wanted to do but I thought my EX didn't handle well enough so I started looking for another car.

Last summer I started looking into buying a WRX but in the end I could not afford the payment. A friend of mine that worked at a Honda dealer told me about a 2000 Si that they had recieved as a trade in. They offered me a deal I couldn't refuse so I bought the car before I even got a chance to test drive it. I had to hurry and sign the paper work before the last day of the month in order to get the car at such a cheap price. I don't really feel like explaining why but anyone that has worked at a dealer should know. I drove the car home and absolutely loved it.

I didn't really start modifying until I bought the Si. Now, everything I've learned in the past years makes me wish I had never sold that 93 DX.

I guess it started for me in 95-96, Me and my friends were walking around my neighborhood and i saw it.....it was a 91 acura integra 4-door. It was slammed on konig impacts. (I wanted those rims for like four years lol). Then in 97 my dad brought home a copy of SCC and i was hooked from there. I wasn't as fourtunate as some of u guys to have a car in high school, so when i graduated i got my sisters 95 cx. What a dog. I abousolutely HATED that car. It was so SLOW. My friends would tell me to drop it and put some rims on it but why bother. Then during my first year of college i almost got the money for a ls swap, but it gave up on me. Traded it for a 97 white ex 4-door, Got big plans for it. But i really wanted a Gsr sedan oh well.

i started off with a 86 acura integra RS. it was a 2 door silver. it was fun to drive but i got tired of it. i had a akimoto intake, some fittipaldi wheels, and a homemade exhaust. well i was tring to seel or trade in and get a 88-91 cr-x si. wel no luck. then i sold the car to a good buddy of mine, thats a h-t member. 311. well with taht money i bought my current car- a 98 integra GS. i almost got a 98 R. but insurace was a factor. R's are nice, but im glad i went with my Gs. every since then i cant stop fixing up honda's, now i got me a 92 cx that i accuired last week. so tahtas my new project.

I had a Geo Prizm, I wanted to modify a compact car so that it would not only be fast in a straight line, but also through the curves. I ended up buying a 1997 Civic EX sedan with a 5 speed two years ago. I now have a custom turbo setup installed, with numerous suspension and braking upgrades.

I was interested in cars at about the age of 7 or 8. My parents got me a subscription to car craft and I loved it. I knew absolutely nothing about cars, but that didn't matter. I stopped caring about cars during adolescense and even thought people that liked cars were stupid. There were more important things in life, or so I thought. I really started getting into cars when my mom began looking for a new car in 1998. My whole family was against buying foreign cars, but consumer reports said toyotas and hondas were great cars. We went to a toyota dealership then to a honda dealership. My mom wanted something other than a four door and I picked out a two door v6 accord. From then on I read every honda brochure I could and became fascinated with all things honda.

I really got hooked when I borrowed my friends issue of SCC in september of 1999. The issue featured the JUN drag civic and a thorough explanation of how 10 second cars of the day were built. I have never given the issue back and I don't plan on it.

ok, i started to like cars i think when i was like 9 or 10 years old. the first time i ever drove a car was when i was like 12 or 13 years old in my older brother's 87 celica. i dont know why but me and brother use to drive around that car around the neighborhood for nothing. anyways, that is how i learned how to drive a stick. i was kinda short so i had to put couch cushions on the seat so that i can reach the pedals. LOL. it was around freshmen in highschool when i really got into cars and racing. i love watching F-1 racing, touring car races, rally racing, dont matter what kind of motorsports. i just loved watching it.
well, my first car was a 87 rx-7 GXL. i was 17 back then. i loved that car. it was a two seater and it was pretty quick. i would go to the japanese video store and rent race videos (i dont understand any Japanese) and i would get fascinated by all those cars. then, this guy named Tsuchia came out and did something called Drifting! i thought it was ******* cool. this was like early 90's when i first saw this video. it was a option2 video. Yes he was in a GTR.
so then i thought, since i have a rear wheel drive car (my rx-7) i might be able to do it too? hehe. i went out and practiced with the car in an empty lot just doing some dounuts and sort of drifting. of course, i got some tickets fromt the local police. reckless driving.
anyways, my second car was a used 92 3000GT VR-4. i was 21 back then and i worked my *** off to save money for the car. i had that car for about a year and a half and things didnt really work out with me and the car. just after 3days i got my car, i had a hit and run. damage came out to be around $12,000 if i remember correctly. of course i got it fixed thnx to the insurance my dad had.
later i was racing with a corvette on a highway and got into an accident because the car that i was passing came into the lane i was traveling. the car got totalled. bye bye VR-4. got the money from the insurance company and got a 97 acura CL 2.2. not a bad car. i wanted to get some mods on the car but the import scence in chicago was bad and couldnt find any parts for the car. i wanted at least an i/h/e combo. after 2 years of that car i said bye bye to the car and sold it. after i sell the car ,comptech came out with intake, header, and exhaust. LOL. oh well.
bought a 90 CRX si that had 79,000 miles on it for about $4000 in cash. i loved this little car. nice and quick. it was super clean too. had some fun with that car for a while and i heard a rumor that the new si is coming out so i started saving my money for that. 1999, the new si came out but i had some money problem so couldnt get it. 2000, the si is continued for one more year. i really wanted to get the Type-R but couldnt find one so i buy an si. it's the blue one.
doing some work on it and adding some things here and adding some things there.
my brother says im crazy that im putting all this money into a civic but i dont care what they say about me and my hobby.
i guess you can say that i liked cars ever since i was little, like around 8 or 9 years old. anyways i love my honda and i think my next car will be a honda again.
oh btw, you guys are probally asking what happened to the crx rite? well, i let my sister in-law's friend borrow it for like a year and he fucked it up bad. didnt even give an oil change for like 10000 miles and didnt even wash it. later the engine just gave way and didnt want to start. i wanted to keep it and do a swap but i sold it for $500 cuz i needed the money. i miss that car

My story is kinda like fowler's and tom's. I always wanted a truck, a s-10 extreme with a ls-1 swap to be exact, but always admired the small/cute civics. My dad used to own i think either a early or late 70's hatch. It was green with tan interior and back fired louder than a 12-gauge. I have pics of me when i was really really small standing next to the car. Well, after i got over the trucks thing i started to like the ek's. I loved the car from 7th grade till about 9th. I wanted something faster (didnt know about hybrids back then) so i started to really look at mr2's and S14's, but always had love for the ek.

Even when people would talk poop about hondas and say that theyre slow and all that bullshit i still stuck with the ek and never gave up. Finally when i got close to buying my first car i began to research the cars. I decided to get the ek and turn it into an all around project car. Finally, after almost a year of saving and searching i finally found one. Although its been 2 weeks that ive had the car, i still dont feel like i have one. i think im in shock. The point that i really knew that i was a honda ***** was when a friend asked if i would rather have a hybrid hatch or any brand new car and i confidently answered that i would take the hatch in a heart beat, and ened up getting in a fight because they laughed at me. This is funny because thanks to fAsT aNd FuRioUs all the **** and bandwagoners who hated hondas now think that they are hardcore tuners and "vin diesel's". anyway thats my pointless story

Spent a year of school at the University of Vermont studying engineering in 1998. I realized that it takes more effort than high school and moved back to PA and picked up at Penn State. Now I needed something to commute with. My brother had a kickass black CRX si about 5 years prior and it was a great car, so I started shopping for a Honda (reliable and good on gas). I found a 1994 red cx. I wasn't real excited but the price was good, had low miles, it was red, and the interior was in good shape. I drove it for the past 3 1/2 years pretty much stock. Here in hick country it's all about big trucks, jeeps, cherry bombs, and having the mentality that the louder the faster. After reading SCC for about two years I was convinced that my car could actually be fast. My friends would joke and tell me that it'll never be fast and I should sell it. This past May I bought a B18B out of a '96 LS and in mid June myself and three friends dropped it in. Needless to say, my eyes opened up and realized the importance of the power to weight ratio. I lucked out when I ended up with a cx. Now it looks like I have a hobby for a long time. It's nice to hear 'Hey, that jap crap can be pretty quick!'. I'm still waiting for my foot print gas pedal from Joe Dirt!

well i guess about 1993 i started seeing a red ef hatch in my old nieghberhood. it had some neuspeed springs, some 15" OZ wheels, clear corners and i thought it was the coolest **** ever. shortly after my friend Chris told me about his dads 85 crx si that had been prep'd for autox. a couple years later in early 95 i got my first "honda" an 87 integra ls. that car was the **** that really got me into it. after that car i purchased a 91 crx si, i was having a distributer problem so i took it to a local dealer where a friend worked. he recomended that i talk to this guy named john. well turns out that John was the guy that me and my friend Chris had been jocking so hard (red ef). he fixed my car for free and we started talking. this is when i found out that there were actually import drag races on the east coast, even though there were only about 75 - 100 cars at them back then. anyway thats how i got into it.

In 1993 2 of my best friends had Honda's and worked @ Island Motorsports and I just liked Honda's the aftermarket variety of products was so big compared to most other imports @ that time. I hated Domestics back then but now I respect them. But ever since I have been into imports. I went to the 1st Battle of the Imports in 1994 and that just made me more hooked on imports and ever since then been into Honda's.

Well, I have always been into 4 Wheelin' and Toyota's. When I turned 15 I bought a 1977 Toyota FJ-40 LandCruiser for $500, it was in sad condition but I started to tear into it anyways.

When I turned 16 the FJ-40 was'nt running (it did'nt have a body on the frame) so my parents gave me there 1990 Toyota 4Runner (it was 1996 at the time) I LOVED this vehicle and drove it into the ground. I put the basic mods on it, exhaust, intake, downey 2.5 inch long travel rear sus., 32 inch tires and a nice stereo. Well on a rainy day in the summer a lady ran a redlight and hit my 4Runner and totalled it. I drove the FJ-40 for a while until I decided I needed something fast after riding in my friends 1992 Mustang GT. I went out and found a black 1995 6 speed Camaro Z/28, it was bone stock and fast as hell, and not one company would insure me. One day I was sitting outside of work with my G/F when a 1993 Integra GSR pulled up to the curb, it was dropped and that was it, I wanted one very bad, I loved the long headlights and the flared fenders.

I bought a 1993 Black Integra GS at the end of 97, it had 38,000 miles and was still under warranty, I loved it even though it was'nt very fast (it sure handled though).

I bought a bunch of parts right away (DC sports header, exhaust, intake, shifter, oil cap, Eibach sportlines, tokico illuminas and a dope chrome shift ****). I loved that car and it had barely enough room for me to have sex in (big change from the 4Runner).

In 99 I moved back here to Utah and got into the street racing scene, I started modifieing my integra to suit me more, I got some JG 301 cams and some AEM cam gears and underdrive pulleys and I was able to muster a 16.2 out of it before spinning a rod bearing (remember I am at about 5200FT above sea level). I went straight to this little shop known as esoteric autoworks and asked them to put a type-R motor in it, they had never done a swap before but decided to try. We (I helped with some of it) moved the battery to the trunk, got a 93 GSR gauge cluster and a YS1 tranny and rewired the whole damned thing to OBD2. The **** worked A/C, P/S and all. I only mustered a 15.7 out of it so the next week I advanced the timing and pulled the ac and ps belt and ran a 15.3. I gutted the SOB for next season and pulled a 14.6 first time out and then numerous 14.7's. I have not run it since I got the JUN head package, Hy-tech header and JG edelbrock intake manifold.

My Integra

My LandCruiser

Still own both of them

My history is very short, but here is goes.

About a year ago my father was looking for a new car and he was seduced by the new 7th gen sedan... I liked it too so he bought it, and I get to drive it very often.
It's a 1.4 liter D14Z5 with 90hp, 17.5 sec 1/4 mile car and I love it!
Currently I am looking forward to build an EG, my favorite Civic ever, after I get my graduation... 4 years from now.

Ehehe I like them Hondas.
