i'm pretty sure there are several topics on this one. i've seen some in the last few months.

anyways, i have Tien basics. I like them alot. not too bouncy good ride for the buck.

What kind of Tiens are you planning to looking at? i hear that apexi n-1 is dope. if you want a real dope ride how about zeal suspension.

We have to know what you're using them for before we can make any sort of logical suggestions. If it's strictly a street car that might see one or two autocrosses, the Omnipowers are fine because they're cheap and height-adjustable.

The N1's are unnecessary unless it's a race car.

The Tein SS's are my drug of choice and I'll be grabbing some as soon as I'm done with college. I road race my car and it probably won't be a street car for much longer, so I'm fine with that choice.

well.. basicly it will be a race/road car i want a great ride mainly for the track.
the tein ss seem right because of dampening control but im just trying to see who got sick of their set ups and what they went to .. mainly for track and heavy street use

i love my tein ss dampers... been running the about 20k miles now. my only complaint is that the spring rates are just a tad to soft for me. all else is tops! tons better than any other setup i have even drove in a comparable price range...

tein ss's def. rock the under a grand setup's

how is the ride, they look great and seem like they would have exellent ride hight adjustability...but what about stiffness and you cant adjust dampening correct?

If you are planning on going to the track....

Koni Yellows
Ground Controls

I have them on my integra and love it!

I have the Omni Sport setup on my hatch, and I like them. They are pretty stiff and bounce a little bit, but I think that they use the same dampers for the street and sport setup's. I feel that the coil-overs are slightly under dampened, but I really only notice when I am pushing it at the track or driving real long distances on the freeway...

But overall I like them and would give them an 8 out of 10...

they are exactly what they claim to be though, a SPORT setup, not quite a race setup but definetly better than a street setup.

i love my Tien SS paired with ground control top hats is a +!
this is on my daily car with stock settings.

if ur looking for street/road go with koni yellows and ground controls. at least u can select spring rates.

If your going to be tracking the car often then the only choice for me would be the N1's. From what I hear the omnipowers are great but definitely not set up for actual track usage and in my opinion the Teins dont come close to what the N1 can offer. Maybe you should look into Yellows and gc's.

i have the Tein SS on my 96 coupe, for the street its amazing, not too harsh but still tight and great when it needs to perform... On the track (1/4) the 16 way adjustibility helps alot, much of a difference? ehhh not really but of course it does help.

My bro who has the APEXi n1 pro coilover system, says my ride is too soft and it doesnt hug the road like his... For the street his suspension sux, Why? because it is super stiff and on NYC roads it just doesnt work very well. At each pothole his car feels like its gonna fall apart but when it comes to track performance or cornering this setup is unmatchable.

I Think their is a pretty big difference in price setup. If you were price matching the N1 pros to something of Tein i think it would be the HA's ... Correct me if im wrong!

I have the N1s on my Sol and they are def. overkill for every day use, (see sig), but when you want to dive into a corner with the N1s, they are unmatched.

the teins have adjustable damping force... it don't change the spring rate. the spring rate is what i feel is to soft...

EDFC and ss dampers are uncompatible...

EDIT: for the money still won't go any other way besides tein in the $1000 under bracket. if anything i'd slap a higher rate spring on later...

i use the tein ss on my civic hatch since its my daily driver. but if i was gonna use this car for occassional track use, i'd get the flex's.

and the edfc is just for insanely lazy people who dont want to get out of the car and adjust their ****. lol

For your EJ1 i guess you can do the integra setup with the tein ss, they will definately feel stiffer, how much i dont know but i think it would create a great balanced car.

FYI: the dampening level help and work tremedously , i thought it was a crock of **** until i did my test going from all the way stiff to all the way soft = night and day!

All beutiful information..Some sold me on tein ss other koni yell, and GCon. what sold me on tein ss was daily drive mild track us but a nice suspention overall.

One thing i wasn't clear on, the dampening control, one mentioned this dosn't do much? I thought this had to do with rebound on the shock which whould eventualy have somthing to do with ride stiffness..no?

Help me out hear because this was one thing that was selling me.
Also I beleive the EDFC makes for 32points of adjustment and i read that is was compatable in and ad, anyone experienced with this mistake?
THANKS!
