its the EDFC, you can get it in the US too for the Type FLEX system... http://www.inlinefour.com/teinedfc.html . it controls the dampering, not the height.

Its not lazyness, its for quick adjustments at the track.

waste of money as my opinion, its very easy to adjust on Hondas and its not like you will adjust everytime you drive the car

i bought them w/ the edfc - not because I am lazy but there are several bad roads where I live which I travel frequently. this will allow me to adjust to a softer dampening when i am on these roads. I do plan on autoXing next summer and maybe taking a weekend driving class (or 2) @ Limerock. I already have them but I need to purchase a few more suspension items (a-sport camber kit) & then have everything installed @ the same time, this spring

the EDFC was mad for cars that have it hard to get to the shock with full interior! some cars (not hondas) take about an hour-2hours getting the interior out to get to the top of the shock. so the EDFC is great for those cars....

i know plenty of people with the EDFC who use it because of daily driving. it sucks to get out of your car every time you're on a bumpy, poorly maintained road just to soften your dampers.
also, doesnt the EDFC change it from 16 damping levels to 32?

hrm... i was just thinkin...
to adjust the damening stiffness, all you do is click that **** one click either way. i bet i could make something that does it on my own. doesn't seem that difficult. just rig up a little motor to each of those *****. push a button and have it turn just a tiny bit in either direction. i could make a nice little box with 4 buttons on it. maybe even a led display to show you the setting...
that's all it looks like it is anyway. it just is a fancy overpriced jdm thing. it does have a nice little display on it.
i bet i could make one of these for under 50 bucks.... radioshack owns.
whatchya think? i'm i on crack, or is this a good idea?

I was literally just thinking that! if u could do it, u would make a killing! especially if u made them for Illuminas! that would be awesome.

sweet. yeah just look at it. it's just a little thingy that clicks that **** when it gets a voltage from that wire. i really think i could do this. anybody want to lend me their edfc so i can reverse engineer it?
do illuminas work the same way? i have 0 experience or knowledge of tokico stuff...

Re: TEIN anyone seen these yet? (jwn7)
with illuminas u twist a **** to adjust the damping force. but the setting intervals would be way different, because they are 5-way as opposed to 16 way.
