Taylor make good wires, but they're still not as good as OEM honda wires.

I've seen a few dynos where the oem (sumitomo) wires are smoother across the power band and produce marginally more power all across that power band. And the OEM wires were 10 years old if I remember correctly.

I have been running the Taylor 10.5mm wires for three years without a problem. The only reason I am running them is because I got tired pulling the ends off of the stock wires.

At least they have a guarantee.

temple of vtec did that way back, and IIRC the OEM wires were actually 15 years old

If you're pulling the ends off you aren't running real Honda wires. I've seen just about every other brand do that (except NGK) but you can pull real Honda wires off after they've been on there for 10+ years and they don't fall apart.

OEM are the best...I saw the tests they did awhile ago and yes they were 15 year old OEM wires and they outperformed everything else including ngk IIRC.

I would never trust anything else after seeing that...that's just hard proof to argue with.

Sounds like you're both using NGK as "oem" wires.

Oem wires are Sumitomo. Not NGK.

OEM spark plugs are indeed NGK.

Most of the aftermarket wires fall apart, like literally fall apart when you try to pull them off the plugs. Not to mention performing like crap besides that. NGK wires are not as good as OEM and I've seen the dyno sheets to prove it, they are however an acceptable second.

Btw, I've never personally used Taylor wires, but I have a good buddy that used to work at performance shop and he swore by them on the domestic stuff at least. Other wires he said they'd have trouble with on the dyno after they'd been tuning for a while, they never had any trouble with Taylor wires.
