Default Tanabe baffle removal?

I've got a Tanabe Super Medalion and wanted to remove the baffle, I've tried and it doesn't want to budge!

Any suggestions, techniques I could use?

I did have to tap the baffle in when fitting.

Hm Try to do it when your car isnt warm b/c I think metal expands when its hot not 100% sure.

Needle nose pliers may help...

goodluck though

fo sho but thats the way i like it. I've been pulled over multiple times for a loud exhaust. When you still have the baffle in, go to DEQ and have it sound checked for decibles, then you get a print out saying its under the required range, then take your baffle out. Now when cops pull me over, i show them that my car is under the required sound limit. No tickets.

All in all, if you dont want loud, dont have a tanabe

yeah its the same as my SI. I have one on my SI and D16y8. I love em both. But anyway, if your like me you have to blow torch em outta there. Try the needle nose pliers approach first, and maybe spray some WD40 along the sides. that should do the trick

I tried pulling on the rim with pliers but it didn't budge, I even tried reving the **** off the engine to blow it out the back (cardboard strategically placed to catch projectile silencer)... it didn't budge, LOL!

hahah thats funny ****. Try the wd40 or grease or somethin...its gotta come out the same on all edges though. So if its crooked try pushing it back in so it sits nice and even, then pull alittl on all sides
