its not to hard the axles are the hardest part if you have problems

other then that disconnect everything and leave the mounts for last

Ive took out my engine 4 times now, takes me about an hour to and hour and a half now to have the engine completly out. No power tools. just drain all your fluids, except oil, unless you want to, disconnect all hoses, then any vaccume lines, throttle cable, ground wires, wire harness, fuel line, etc, then unbolt ur lower ball joints and pull them axels out, easiest with a fork. Attach ur cherry picker, and unbolt ur mounts. BAM ur done

You can just drop the motor out the bottom, don't even need a cherry picker. Drain your fluids, take pics of where vacuum hoses go, unplug harness, pop out axles, attach cherry picker, undo mounts. Not that difficult

ok to take the axles out you have to use a 32 mm socket to get the axles nutt off

and then there is this nut and pin

Jack up the balljoint, put a breaker bar or lug nut between that and the LCA and lower the jack. It should pop out, if not try it again. You don't need a pickle fork to separate the ball joint

no dont use the fork

just PB blast it and let it sit and then use a breaker bar or put the nut back on some and hit the sides of it to break it lose (this is what i did) and it worked

the fork will only break your lower balljoint and you will have to get a new one

see swapthread in my sig for basic guidelines on removing a singlecam. Honestly ain't too hard though.... you just keep unbolting stuff until it practically jumps out at you.

If you brought in the LCA and knuckle connected with a ball joint, would they honor the warranty on lifetime warranty balljoints?

either get a ball joint removal tool (reccomend this) or there is another way, i think its in the faq up top.
or just beat the **** out of the control arm, be careful not to hit ball joint.
