Taking Off Front Bumper!! Quick Question

Default Taking Off Front Bumper!! Quick Question

I was getting ready to take off my bumper so i could install my ctr headlights and my friend calls me and tells me that when he took of his bumper....the SRS light came on and stayed on. So my question is....When taking off my bumper what are the precaustions I must take?? Thanks in Advance! Oh yea i got an EM1.

never had that happen to me....and i've taken my front bumper off atleast 6 or 7 times.

your srs light should not come on after taking off a bumper

You must take no precautions...other than using a screwdriver to take the ******* thing off

i used to take my bumber off every other day. so srs light should come on. the only reason mine came on was because the alternator was bad. ?? i have no idea why.-

^^ Yeah, the only possibe reason is somehow the sensor got tripped, but they arent very sensitive to taking off your bumber.

the precautions that everyone leaving out is that you should disconnect your battery or make sure u dont hit you air bag sensor like some one i know. lol

he musta nipped the sensor...no extra precautions are neccessary...just don't take the route of pickup truck and chains to remove it
