switching tranny internals? experts only please!
ok. i have a 94 cx 5spd tranny. i have a 98 ex 5spd tranny. the ex went on the car last night, fighting axels ... tring to pry one out that was lodged in there, broke the casing on the bottom.
so..... how hard is it to take apart the ex and cx.... put all the ex internals (gears, synchro's, final drive.. whatever inside the 94 cx housing? bunch of technical stuff involved? should i just eat the $225 i paid for the tranny and run the stock cx tranny til i can afford a new one? thanks

i'd guess that you probably could. however, i'd wait for a more reliable source first . both trannies use same mounts, connect to the same engines, etc. i'm pretty sure the case is close to being exactly the same.
