If you are asking about a rear, then yes....but it's a good idea to use a subframe brace, especially if using an ITR bar
The front will work too, but you will need new control arms to use it

My subframe is slightly bent from the previous owner. Getting a skunk2 rear tie bar and a usdm GSR rear sway bar. Car already has the oem front sway bar.

That will work, however that tie bar will do noithing but add "bling".
How bad is it bent and where? That is a major part of the rear suspension, it being bent is a problem.

Not that bad, he said a asr wouldn't fit. I'm not getting any abnormal tire wear at all though.
Why wouldnt a skunk2 tie bar stop tearing? A gsr sway bar is pretty thin too.

Why would a ASR not fit? Did the last owner tell you this?
It's not going to help at all with tearing. 1, it doesn't bolt to the sway bar, it bolts to the lca's.
A ASR basicly make the subframe thicker. You bolt the sway bar to that, not the actuall car. And becuase you have a EJ8, you will need to come up a different way to install the rear sway bar. Sence your car never came with one factory, nor does it have the threaded holes a integra or a SI would have.
When I installed my rear sway, I used 4 10mm bolts and 4 lock nuts. Works perfectly.
Even then, your using 14mm sway bar, the stock subframe can handle that without a problem. The issue of tearing is when you are useing larger then a 19mm sway bar, and no subframe brace.
Trust me, that skunk2 bar looks good, but it is a complete waste of money.

It wont fit because the wheel hit a curb in the rear and bent the subframe, he replaced the whole assembly on that side. It sticks out a little bit farther then the other side,y but it get no abnormal tire wear and it goes straight as a arrow. The GSR bar is onl 17mm i believe.
If i want to add a subframe brace I need to replace the rear subframe, they are 99 bucks on ebay but its a lot of labor probably 300-400 bucks.

Not really going to matter with such a small sway bar.
BTW: are you sure ex models dont have a rear sway bar stock? The front has one why wouldn't the rear?

Labor is going to be much more the 300-400. There was some here that stated he paid 1200 out the door.
It's not something you just slap on.
No, they are 14mm's.
I am 100% positive they do not come with rear sway bars. Only the 99-00 SI has one. And that is 13mm.

and the Si had the rear sway. It's funny, i have both the original brochures from both 1999 and 2000 civic's. Not sure if it's a typo from Honda, but in 99, the Si rear sway shows as a 13mm, and in 2000 it shows it as a 14mm
Here is a scan from my 99 brochure showing many stats and rear sway info....

Those rates are hella cheep, here for a shop they charge about 100 per hour. Mind you, 1200 was with price of part (oem honda) and our lovely 9.3% tax.
What are the spring rates?
What deetz posted is really funny, never heard that before. Maybe honda did it just to screw with us?
Any ways,, that would be prove gsr to bigger than 99 and same as 2000, although Im still puzzeled by that.

Uhh. Fix the subframe first. Then get the ASR brace + USDM ITR(22mm) or JDM ITR(23mm) rear swaybar + stock or Hard Race endlinks + the ASR endlink adapters to be used when mounting the endlinks to the swaybar(since the eyelets on the ITR bars are larger than Si/CTR rear swaybars)
Contact ASRtech via AIM for the endlink adapters.. they're about 20 dollars and not aluminum. I currently have this setup on my car without issue.

As far as the adapters go, you can buy custom aluminum ones that fit properly into the integra bar, yet still allow you to retain the oem civic endlinks like i did. They were also $20

Just becuase your not racing "hard", doesn't mean that sub frame is fine.
As you can get it so cheep, why not fix it and than mod it? Do your know for a fact the sway bar will work with it bent?

Can you post pics?
I have seen so called slightly bent subframes throw everything off, and I have seen pics of the subframe snap and rip apart.
I hate to here of you hitting a bump and it brakeing, while your driving. That could be very vary bad.
