Sway Bar Question
I'm looking for some good sway bars for autox, but I don't want to spend too much money. I'm leaning towards getting the ST kit, but I actually need some specifics on what sway bars due (due to dimensions) to decrease body roll. Anybody got any suggestions/info, and what Im lookin at spending?
O, and I know this is a stupid question, but how do you know if your car came with a stock sway bar?

Re: Sway Bar Question (crazy_ham)
Look under ur back bumper and if you see a bar, you have one
As for the sway, get an oem integra type r sway bar with either bsq or beaks mounting kit. Works perfect and doesnt cost a lot.
If you wanna drop some dough then go suspension techniques, skunk2, etc.

Re: Sway Bar Question (Echo7847)
Well, a full ITR bar and reinforcement kit will be much more expensive than a ST sway bar set up. If you have an EX or SI civic you already have a front swaybar, but if not ST makes a kit for it. The swaybar links you two lower control arms together, therfore putting a brace between them that resists moving in opposites direction (like one LCA up and one down, like when your car leans) The thicker the swaybar, the more resistant to this movement, so the more flat your car will be in the corners. I was able to pick up a full front and rear swaybar kit from ST for $190, around the price that you would spend on a single bsq/beaks rear bar only kit.
When it comes to size, it is up to you. Run a larger rear bar if your car is understeering too much for you preferences, if it oversteers to much, run a larger front bar. The ITR bars a 22/23 mm (USDM/JDM respectively) for the rear. The ST rear swaybar is 19.05 mm. I would only reccomend the ITR rear bar if you car already has a front sway bar (ex/si) otherwise the car will oversteer way to much.
