Default Sway bar help... Blox opinions needed....

hey guys...

ive got a EK sedan, im trying to set it up for track use,
i have sorted out D2 coilovers, and various EM racing bars and so on,

however, i dont have a rear swaybar as of yet. and this is one thing i want to sort out... now a local supplier can bring in Blox Sway bars, im just wondering, does anyone have any experience with them? theyre a 21mm bar, im after a 22mm bar, but meh, whats 1mm right?

im after ease of installation, quality, and performance, how well it performs etc, bang for buck...

also, im all open to suggestion to others you have tried, and that i should look at also, and also, comments on the shithouse ones you guys have tired and wont ever touch again....

lastly, if i upgrade the rear, is it best if i upgrade the front OEM sway bar as well...? the front sway bar is 27mm at the moment.

any info would be great.

cheers, antz.

The stock front swaybar is 26 mm and that's more than adequate. I've never heard of Blox swaybars but the only two swaybars that I would trust on an EK is the Comptech sway & tie bar unit and the 22 mm Progress swaybar. I've also heard good things about the A-Spec Racing sway & tiebar unit which is designed along similar lines as the Comptech unit. EKs have a very thin walled rear subframe as such, anything beyond the stock Si rear swaybar (13 mm) is going to possibly cause subframe damage.

The Progress bar does not but it doesn't really need it because it uses a unique mounting solution that does not appear to put as much stress on the subframe. I have yet to hear of anyone damaging their subframe using the Progress bar. It's a good value IMO. But nothing beats the Comptech unit for peace of mind.

If you can, get an ASR lower tiebar to compliment your swaybar. It gives you all the subframe support you need not to mention is pretty easy to install and looks good on top of that. If you want bang for your buck, that's the way to go. Fairly cheap at $169.99 US
