Thats a really good walkthrough, thanks, but im not worried about the bolting procedure, im more worried about the wiring and the ecu, I have a 93 eg6 and im worried about the whole ecu thing.

easiest thing to do is buy a usdm OBD-1 vtec harness say out of an EX coupe since they are common and then get the p72 gsr computer and its plug and play

Re: Swap walkthrough for eg b18c1 swap (EGhatchguy)
If i buy the swap from HMO or IAS it should come with the harness, and ecu correct? Reason im a bit worried is that ive got an auto in this stock 93, i will be converting it to manual and i know the ecu's are different. Question is tho, if i get a obd2 engine and ecu am i screwed, sorry im a bit of a novice with this computer stuff, i can do anything carburated, just new to this ecu crap.

this is what i plan on getting, do i need to make sure its obd2 or what if it is obd2 what are my options?

you can get an obd2 motor, just wiring is slighly dirferent pretty simple though. you can use your auto harness. get an obd1 p72ecu or if your going hondata your P28 will be fine just takes 1 resistor to change it from auto to manual RP17-RP18

Man ant your like a honda god to me, You know of any wiring DYI's for obd2 harness conversions, also the engine comes with the wiring harness and ecu so is it pretty much plug and play? I dont think ill have to worry about the convo between auto to manual since it comes with the p78 or whatever, the GSR ecu.
Thanks for all the help guys, i know there is a ton of b18c1 thread titles, so i appreciate the confidence everyone has given me about the computer issues

And i went outside to check the vin, ayecuz your right it is a EH but the only difference is JDM vs USDM, so basically an EG is a EH just not righthand drive. but thanks for clearing that up.
