swap prep
in the next couple of days ill be ordering my G2 Si swap from jdmsource.ca
i know im to replace the clutch while swapping it in,but as far as ordering replacement parts for emergencies and gettin my car inspected im still confused
granted itll be in a 98 shell, what grounds will they inspect the car?
and will i need to order all 92-95 spec gaskets etc?
if theres any other tip or need to know stuff please let me know
thanx

Re: swap prep (JDMEK-9)
it's not that no ones done a swap before ( remember youre the one asking for help ) but your not really asking an exact question...what do you mean what will they expect and you're talking about changing your clutch and holding extra parts. that's not required nor necessary. anyways. define you're question a little better and i'm sure you'll get an answer that you're looking for

Re: swap prep (NesaiTuner)
sorry for being a lil vague
my uinspection question was are they going to be inspecting me on the specs of my shell or actually pay attention to wether the motor matches.
my other question is what else aside form the clutch should i prepared to replace?

State inspection, I guess it all depends on what state you're in. They will ask you to pop your hood and do a visual check (to make sure everything looks right ) Battery secure, all parts are there, and so on... If your in say california i know they're really strict there and might check the vin on the block to make sure it matches. Best bet is to get it inspected with the original motor, if you don't have it anymore just say that you bought it like that and cross your fingers(If they question you about it).
