Suspension Tuning (Skunk2 Sway Bar, Neuspeed lower tie bar)
hi,
i want to do some suspension tuning to my Del Sol.
But iīm interested if thereīs a point when the whole thing gets too stiff. too much isnīt always good
i already ordered koni yellows and eibach springs.
if i put Skunk2 Sway bars and a Neuspeed lower tie bar in, will become too stiff/undriveable?
Thanks

ok, iīll ask.
iīv just wondered if the bigger sway bars and the lower tie bar make the frame too stiff...

Re: Suspension Tuning (Drag-On)
like I said, spring rates are a big part of handeling. your best bet is to do a search in the autox forum. how big are the sway bars? will you be running front and rear bars? I have a 1" on the front and a 3/4" on the rear. a lot of people prefer a stiffer back end so they use ITR bars in the rear with no front bar. (i don't like this setup that much) I'm going to be running 10k front springs(about 558lbs) and 14k rears (i don't know how much this is in lbs ) and hopefully my car will rotate a little better.

No i dont think the brand will make a BIG dif in whether or not it will to stiff or not. If ur worred set ur Koni's to the 1st degree.
For sway & tie bar i would recomend the COMPTECH KIT
but thats mad money

Re: Suspension Tuning (Drag-On)
a sway bar or tie bar will not have any effect on the ride, only on the handling. your spring rate and adjustment of your koni's will determine ride quality.
koni are slightly more aggressively damped than say agx's or tokicos. depending on which eibach springs you ordered, you should have a pretty firm, yet totally streetable ride.
sway bars/tie bars are strictly performance pieces - unless you're 'performing' you won't really be able to tell they're there.
edit - if you do go the way of the comptech, contact kingrat, i ordered my rear sway/tie through him.

this actually is a good place to start. find out your spring rates and go from there
