Some of you guys seem pretty knowledgeful so I extend this question,

What coilovers do you recommend for a '92 civic Si?

How much are you wanting to spend..? Brands like tien, progressive and apexi are high quality but are also high dollar.

Im running ground controls which use eibach springs and Im very happy with them.

Honestly I would mind spending max of 1500$

But what did you pay for Ground Control....And do you know what those Tien coilovers go for?

I got my GC and tokico blues packaged for $600. If your willing to spend $1500 then the tiens, apexi etc shouldn't be a problem for you. They should run anywhere from $1100-$1400. Coilovers with pillowmounts may run alittle more.

For the money I spent Im pleased. I went with this setup cause I dont do alot of autocrossing and racing. Therefore I really didnt need the adjustability of a full coilover setup and even adjustable struts. However I wanted to be able to adjust the height of my car when ever I needed...hense going with GC.

The ride is moderately stiff. I noticed the lack of body roll first. My only beef with the GC are the squeeking noises I hear when the car first moves.

H&R's are good as well. Is it true that Tein shock bodys are made of a mild steel? This can cause rust correct me if Im wrong?

Nope you are correct. HR are the ones which are made of aluminum. You can check out Zeal, I think you maybe able to get them in for under $1500, and they are made of aluminum.

You can also try H&R coilovers. Unless you are gonna race a lot on the weekends I don't see the needs for such expensive coilovers. You should look into get some ground control adjustable springs with custom spring rates, and a nice pair of adjustable shocks. I like Koni Yellows, and KYB AGX's. A nice setup like that usually goes for about $700, but if you catch a group buy or what not it can come down below $600.

Do you want the height adjustability? The dampning adjustability? Do you plan to raise and lower your car frequently, and play with the settings on the shocks/struts? If you don't plan on using these features than maybe you should go withu a simple effective shock/spring combo. Konis, Billsteins, Eibachs, neuspeed, comptech are all reputable manufacturers you can work with. Just an idea for yuh...
