SuSpEnSiOn QuEsTiOn???
hey i just bought a 96 hatch... i have about an average knowledge on hondas and i registered for this so i could learn some more things... but anyways.. im really ready to start modifying my hatchback.. i wanted to start with the suspension first... i dont want to gooo too expensive because im in high school and the money just isnt flowing to well to my pocket... but i just wanted to buy some lowering springs and shocks... now my friend told me that one of the sole purposes for lowering your car was to take the gap away between the fender and the wheel... so i measure it and it is about 3 1/2 inches.. should i go for a 3.25 drop??? (keep in mind that im planning to put some 16 inch rota gt3's on it)... any advice would be highly appreciated... thanks

NEVER make a title like you did.
The reason people will modify their suspension is to lower the ride height and give it better response in steering.
A dedcent suspension setup can be tokico blue shocks with eibach springs @ 2" or 2.5" drop.

handling is the main reason to lower a car, and 3.25 inches is a huge drop, but if ur not sure go with some coilcovers so u can adjust the ride height,

if i were you(which i was like 2 years ago cuz i have a hatch as well) id get a nice set of adjustable shocks(tokico 5-ways or kyb agx) and either eibach or tein springs. these normally yeild a nice firm ride and will help you start to appreciate the adjustability of your suspension. also, i wouldnt go any lower than a 2-2.25 inch drop, a 3 inch drop will be hell on your shocks and have you bottoming out all the time. just my ::insert 2 pennies here::

That would be the best set up for beginners, It's pretty easy on the Wallet.
