Suspension on EG.. Eg owners help out
Just recently the front suspension on my 92 si civic shakes when i get to 60 and keeps shaking until 80 ONLY UNDER ACCELERATION. If I coast the car into these speeds its fine. OK I balanced the tires, still shakes. I looked at my lower control arm bushings and the one where the shock fork bolts on to is torn. What else could cause this? I did a search and from the search I now decided to go with either Mugen of stock bushings.
Also the rear end of my hatch makes a knocking noise from the suspension? When I go over bumps the rear shimmers not just goes over firm and I HATE THAT. I have brand new Bilstein shocks with Nuespeed Race springs on all 4's. Also the front knuckle is a 97 GS-R.
Thanks for the help.
CHANGED AXLE AND STILL DID NOT WORK. PLEASE READ MY LAST POST.

Damn people... 90% of the time vibration/shaking on acceleration is a bad axle!
Replace the axle on that side.

Just because they are brand new, doesn't mean they are perfect. Where did you get them from?

I had the same problem while taking a road trip. Brought my wheels to get balanced and they were a "little" out of round. They balanced out fine but I still get a VERY small shake at high speeds. (Def less than b4, but still felt in the seat of your pants)
You may want to check your wheels if theyre "out of round". You couldnt tell my wheels were like this standing still, it was only noticable when I slapped them on the balancing machine.

if i bet anything its one or more of your mounts. not your tires or axles.
think about it, your driving, and during acceleration your engine is moving, w/ broken mounts there is going to be a vibration. when you idle or coast(like when you pop into neutral) the engine isn't really moving(atleast not enough to feel) theres no vibration. if i was you i would check all your mounts and replace them.

It is most of the time axles.
I tried 3 sets of tires before i finally gave in.
the big killer, was when i redlined one day, my car started smoking.
it seems that the axle grease leanded on my header, lol, i thought i wired something wrong and my car caught on fire
lol

Re: Suspension on EG.. Eg owners help out (Honda-Nub)
do you have the right tire pressure in your tires cause if not it could throw it off the mounts if there is one that doesnt have all the bolts tight check the AC mount and the tranny mount in the front and the axles just cause there new doesnt mean anything check them just to be sure there could be one that was bad when it was bought

Re: Suspension on EG.. Eg owners help out (EL Vap133)
Thanks guys I'm going to change my left side axle. I thought about it (and also read the posts). Just remembered I changed my tranny and when i was taking the left side axle out it slipped out of the joint and I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER MY SELF and sealed it with some zip ties. Plus sometimes when I hit a pot hole the car will not vibrate then when i hit another one it will...LOL
Thanks for the help guys..
How about the noises in the rear??

Re: Suspension on EG.. Eg owners help out (ramtyper19)
BACK TO THE TOP. I changed the axle and it did not stop. Then I said F it. I ran First to redline and powershifted into 2nd. The vibration got crazy now. there is now a knocking noise when i am stepping on the brakes. Also there is all sorts of knocking noises coming from the car like if a mount is bad or even a bad tranny. I put the car up on jack stands and put it in gear, seems fine no noises 1,2,3,4 then 5 makes all sorts of knocking noises. One guy said it is because thats the same thing as taking off from a stand still in 5th. Ummm I don't thing so. I then spin the right front rotor and it spins free. Try the left and it is very tight. could a sticking caliper cause all the deceleration noises and also the car to shim. Going to change the caliper tomorrow to see. whats the price of a caliper. 94 & up INtegra.
