suspensing noises, sloppiness, need help
Lately, I've been noticing that the front of my car seems really sloshy. When I turn tight, it feels like the tires are skipping. It's been really cold in NJ until this week, so I let it go, but I want to try to find out what it is now that its 40 outside.
My setup is:
94 cx
stock lcas
A'PEXi n1 coilovers, 12k front
no swaybar or suspension braces.
GSR knuckles, UCA's and brakes.
camber is right around -1.9 on both sides and toe is factory
195/60/14 azenis, about 2000 miles on them 95% tread
To try to describe it, it feels like the front of the car wants to wash out. There's a clunky noise when I go over bumps, that mostly comes from the right side. The steering is sloshy. The steering is more responsive when turning left, than when turning right.
What should I check when I look tommorow? I know the shock fork and UCA's are tight because I checked them when it first started doing this. I'm thinking it might be the tie rod ends. They have like 190,000 miles on them, while everything else suspension and brake wise is fresh. Would a bad outter tie rod end cause the symptoms I listed?

Re: (dantastic)
I'd recommend changing the front compliance bushings. They attach the front lcas to the chassis. This did a great deal for improving my steering on my 98ex. A new set of oem bushings is about $35 from http://www.hparts.com .
also inspect tie rods, bushings, etc.

hey so when are you going to be doing this, cause when you do look at it, then you can look at mine and see why mine is shitty. My wheels seem to kinda hop/bounce under higher speeds. I took a look but didn't see anything that looked to be wrong, hey wait.. I don't know what the __________ i was looking at...

Good idea, I'll try that. Anybody have anything to say about the tie rod ends? I was noticing today, that the sound sounds like someone knocking on a solid wood door. Not a deep thud, but more of a solid knock. I know my shocks arent bottoming out, because I am only lowered about 2 inches, but I still have full travel because of the way the a'pexi's adjust.

Here's the picture from the catalog, are you talking about #9? They're $14 each.
