Dealer is selling one for $5900? PLEASE BE REAL!!!
For that much you can buy a clean *** CX with a GSR engine.
don't pay anything over 3K.
I know a guy who is selling one in Illinois for $2000.

Re: (Nikos)
Well, it will be very difficult to find a clean eg in north-mid-west states. I've looked over a year before I just settled with mine. And still it's a piece.

Re: (VWkila)
A week and a half is nothing bro. It took me TWO YEARS to find the perfect del sol with a factory b16 engine (that was completely stock with low miles) in the color I wanted. Finding the exact car you want is harder than you may think, just be patient and you'll find one eventually. Mine actually ended up coming from CA, and I'm in FL!

Wow, I'm gonna be in your case. I soon have to share a car with my sister too....I know how you feel its a pain.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I just happen to have a 93 si hatch and live in Mobile county It's pretty clean, no rust on the body but does have a few door dings etc.. I've been looking to sell it for a while now if you know anyone interested let me know. You can see the car here

Re: (teh_zyk)
i didn't know there's such things as "rust" in CA lol
but good luck with your search. i'd get one with a little dinged up, but fixable. mine came with rusts because that's just "honda cancer"

rust is only a concern in coastal areas... and last time I checked, not all of us people from Cali live on the beach (I sure as **** don't )

Re: (jcarothers)
wow man, 5900??? That's really up there. Even though we bought my 94 EX up in the capital, it only came out to be 2450. And this thing has all the bells and whistles on it, it just needs a paint job. I think you should go over this thing with a fine tooth comb. Make comments on everything that you see is out of place or even if you think it is. And ask them whenever you feel like it to come down on the price. If you can, pay down payment in complete cash, and make it known that you have it. Also mention that you may have seen another car like this for less that...say your g/f or dad or w/e liked. Just make them antsy, it always works.

Re: (Dlpz87)
so what i guess il set my "walk away" price at 3000. and il be very noticably picky with anything i find wrong w/ the car... does that sound about right? i was thinking of starting the offer at around 2500-2700, and then trying hard not to budge and go up to 3000 if we have to.

Yeah, just got to know where to look. Don't be afraid to get one with some dings and just have them fixed.
EG's are fairly easy to find in the NW but it took me over a month to locate my SI. Found one with clean title, not even a door ding, bone stock, looked like it came off the showroom floor, only 16k miles, perfect carfax, and for about $5k cheaper than the going price for them around here. (was about a year ago)

Re: (eglove)
I bought my 92 SI hatch for $2400 from an older women and orignal owner the first year I got it, it was super clean, no dent, no door ding and rust free... so I left it untouch without any kind of mods now after the stormy MN winter,...well guess what theres a ding here and there , the rear fender are turning brown, yes that's a hint of rust
Sadly things gets old and ugly, they never get newer and better. Unless you spend money to fix it up!!

Re: (dantastic)
i really wouldnt buy a car from cali, most of them might look nice but the engines are beat to hell, i payed 4500 for my 93 si perfect condition, paint was immaculate and the inside looked brand new, with only 75k miles on it and it was a steal, it also had some stuff doen to it by an old guy who liked cars lol

Take your time and look around, the worst thing you can do is drop some money on somehting that you want but its not exactly what you want...and then two weeks llater the perfect car pops up. Dont buy it unless it is exactly what you are lookng for. Buy a bike and pedal to work until you find the right car for you. It took me near a year to find a car in my price range with and without certain things in the condition i wanted. And i am so happy i waited and didnt buy some POS and fix up extra stuff causing me to spend way more money than necessary
