It's just *much* quieter than your average import exhaust.
OP - have you considered the mugen Twin Loop? I've always loved the way those sound, and I think they're a little louder than the WS2.

The apexi WS2 is both quiet and deep. That's why a lot of people on HT recommend it. I rock one myself on my gsr engine and love the sound.

Yes, but not by much. A tiny bit more at idle. A little more than that under load. A little more than that at WOT. Mine has a kind of distinct WHAAAM kindof thing going when the intake secondaries open under partial throttle. Mine also (for some reason) is louder coasting off throttle above 4K rpm.
It's hard to explain... I guess I would say that it sounds like a very very good OEM exhaust. Sorta like a 350Z exhaust, but quieter and lower pitched.
Crap, one of these days, I'm just going to have to record mine and post it.

i liked my apexi N1 =P
everyone on HT recommends the Twin loop, but i think its wayy to over rated, your pretty much paying for the name, anything that says mugen is an addition of 100$+. Although you want a new muffler, have you looked over the idea of a high flow cat? or are you looking for more of an audible feedback than that?

Awh, even the replica spoon n1 call Aspec sounds good still. Buddy of mines has it on his USDM b16 on a 2000 si. Sounds really nice. Should think about it. Can find it on this site. Go to www.jdmshit.com Next go to engine compoents. The name listed for the muffler is JSR spoon style muffler. Sounds nice.
