yep, you send the money to their paypal, they send you the item. but the process is a little bit more personal than ebay, because you choose the amount to send, and you deal with everything yourself.

Its not risky at all, You send them money over Paypal, if you don't recieve your item (or don't get the right item, or not as described) you can talk to the seller, if he doesn't care, you open a dispute with Paypal, show them the situation, and they will refund your money for you pulling it out of the sellers bank account.

there are also some lists of people who have scammed people too so you could always try and do some research if you are that worried about it

Most good sellers will have a vouch list in there sig. You could PM those people and find out if they thought it was a good seller. Also paypal has like scam insurance, they'll get the money back if they determine you got screwed. Be polite though, don't go in screaming a fit.

Also, paypal can suck very badly, its amazing how retarded these people can be.
They outsource thier customer support and pay them $200 a month, these are the same people that have complete access to your debit cards and bank accounts.
Check out Paypalsucks.com to read how a LOT of people have been completely robbed of thier money.
I thought they were awesome too until they froze my account for no reason and took $300 from me...
