Default stupid idle

My idle drops from normal to almost killing the engine then back up to normal. This generally happens when I am stop and go or when I run my car pretty hard. The idle doesn't go down then shoot way up but just drops then goes back to normal then drops again. It does this over and over again. But it still drives fine. Im not sure if i can even replace the iacv on this car. (95 civic dx coupe d15b7) Could it be a worn cam and if so would a d16y7 cam work in place of it? Any help would be great.

I'm thinking it's the fast idle thermo valve underneath the TB....go dig up one of my old threads (by searching!) and find the link on how to fix it
