Stroker parts list...
I have recently swapped a B16b into my 99 Ex love the motor but want more of a sleeper than i have. Can someone provide me with a list of all parts i will need to troke it to a 1.8L. SHould i go forged or OE? I have seen stroker kits out there for my motor but they put my cr at like 11:1 and i plan on adding a JRSC in the very near future so i would like a lower cr for boost. I have searched and posted a similar post before but no one was able to privide me with a list of parts. Oh and please dont tell me to seel the engine and buy a new block...not the rout i want to go. I make enough money to build without watching my budget.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Stroker parts list... (ProjectNoob)
just boost it with compression youll make more power that way we dont drive chevelles we drive hondas read the exhaust notes reply to just about the same question in june 2006 honda tuning. because of the efficient cylinder head designs you can supercharge at 10.5-11.0:1 range sorry if i sound stoopid but im just going off of what they said they are running 12 psi on a usdm C5 and it makes like 250 or so at the wheel

why would you turbo a type r to begin with?
i think you meant gsr..either way, a tuned gsr at 12 psi, ive seen numbers as high as 280 whp.

Re: (ProjectNoob)
Usually when you call to ask about the stroker kits...they will ask you what cr you want. If they don't just ask if you can get them with a different cr. I know they do with V8's.
I still don't know why you want to stroke a B16. They are made to rev high and not have too much torque. Stroker motors are made for torque and not rpms. (I know you don't want to hear this again but it's logical to what you want) Sell the B16B and get a B18C or C5. I still can't believe you want a CTR B16B motor as a sleeper...lol.

stupid waste of money if you ask me.
sell the b16b, get a b18c and JRSC on that.
it will just as "sleeper" and for the price you get for the b16b you may be able to buy the jrsc AND b18c.

Its comical that everyone says just sell your 16b...has anyone ever tried selling a b16b for close to what was paid for it? almost next to impossible. I appreciate your thoughts however i'm gonna tough it out. Like i said money isnt really an issue to me i make plenty. I guess my thoughts are a 1.6l storked to a 1.8 liter is the same as a 18c only i will have a better head. Also living in CA hard as hell pas a visual and smog...not to mention to find a decent GSR from 99 and up. I guess i will have to post some numbers when im done and see if it can be a sleeper or not
