stripped tensioner thread, quick fix ideas?
I stripped the thread on my timing belt tensioner and I don't have the money right now to buy a Time-Sert kit to repair the thread, does anybody have any quick/temporary repair ideas? I need my car to work until I can buy the Time-Sert kit and tap wrench which wont be for about another month.
So far, I've tried using J.B. Weld for a temp fix but that only lasted a few days.
thanks for any help

There is too much at stake to risk it over JB Weld or anything beside cutting new threads or using an insert. Just maybe you can find an oversized bolt for it, but it's best to use an insert and tighten with a torque wrench.
