ooh, major bad news. You definitely do not want to mess up that hard line. If you didn't use one this time, make sure you get a flare nut wrench, it won't strip the nut easily.
I have been unfortunate enough to have this happen to me as well, and I just had to use some vice grips to tighten it. Hope you can figure something out, not sure what other options you have.

Good luck. The flare nut wrench is a definite must, anything else can strip it way too easily. Incidentally, I used a flare nut wrench and ended up stripping one anyway, so you have to be careful with those brake lines, whatever you use. Hope things work out.

Vice grips worked for me, since I also stripped that bolt. Learned my mistake on the driver side by using a normal wrench and then also stripped the passenger side using a flare nut wrench! Only problem was getting them tight when putting them back on. I dont see any leaking but its always there in the back of my mind. What do you guys think about replacing the hard line? Too time consuming for any good? Can you just replace the nut somehow?

A decent vice grip would get it out...Same thing happened to me, tried a couple of vice's , but one with very sharp grooves/teeth would prob help.. Hope this helps a little , good luck
