The strangest thing with my air conditioning. Help.
I drive a 00' si stock motor car.
I have noticed for the past two days that my A/C system may be acting up, and I don't think it has to do with the weather being hot and humid. So Im driving with a/c off and fan off like normal. When I come to a stop and car is idleing, I hear the fan kicking in, hense RPM slighty goes up then down every 10-15 seconds. But get this, I go to turn the fan switch on and cold air is blowing as if the A/C button has been pressed. No A/C light on. The wierdest thing. So to verify if my A/C system maybe active in the background, I drive to the garage where its quiet, turn the ignition off and I hear a "khhhhsssshhh" coming from the left passenger vent area.
I guess its that sound it makes when compressor shuts off. The same sound is heard when I start up my car in the morning. sound goes away after 15 sec or so.
So Im stump cause even at night when its cold out, the fan still blows out cold air as if A/C is on.
I hate to bring it in to a AC specialist. So any help will be appreciated. Where should I start becuase noone in this forum is experiencing this sort of problem. I tried searching already.

Re: (klomast3r)
buy a new climate control piece. first try disconnecting the wire to it and see if it turns on. if you can pop the button off check the contacts.
now i dont know what u are talking about a psh sound for 15 seconds. just LOOK and see if your compressor clutch is engaged. it will be obvious if your ac is on cuz the clutch will be spinning.
