ever since i put my header on, there has always been this little strange noise at the cat, its annoying as hell. i think there was a little leak or someting cause the header didnt connect exactly perfectly. i just sealed up the leak and that kinda helped, but today i was driving down and i had to slam on my brakes and i skidded cause some lady cut me off

so now when i rev the engin it makes such a bad wierd noise. its hard to describe. do you think i should just replace the cat? any help would be appreciated.

It makes the weird noise when u go over 3 rpm? Like a screeching sound...

what did you "seal" it with? Did you put a lead gasket over the tip of the header?

ya its a screeching sound, when you rev the engine. do you know what it is?

.....i sealed it with some exhaust hole sealer thing from the local auto shop.

Yeah, my car is doing the same. My header went in about 2weeks ago, but Im pretty sure my heat sheild has come loose. YOU SHOULD CHECK YOURS, before you go off spending big bucks on other things..
