storing EK. sugestions!!!!
Ok this is the first year I'm puttin gthe car away. I got a JDM B18c -r in it and I just did an oil change about 600 miles ago. I put in Mobil 1 super sythetic.
What should I be doing. righ tnow Ijust pu tit in the garage and that's it. I figure on teh nice warm dry days I will start it up and drive it around teh block. Should I be worried about the oil going bad? or the gas going bad? Or my suspension dying or something?
Let me know EVERYHITNG!

How long do you plan to store it?? I would remove all the fluids if you plan to store it for a long time (or atleast add gas stabilizer if you don't want to remove that).

it'll only be store for about 6 months.
not that long, but like I said I will tkae it out and drive every once in a a while. probably once amonth.
And I'll be starting it like once aweek, ad letting it warm up completely.

Fresh oil change, battery on a trickle charger, fuel stabilizer, a tablespoon of oil down each cylinder (take the spark plug out, put in oil, replace plug) and maybe put it on jackstands (to help keep critters out and keep your tires from flatspotting)
From what I've heard, gas is only good for 3 months before it starts breaking down. The stabilizer helps the gas not turn into varnish in your injectors and the like.
That should do it...

i used to store my car anywhere from 1-6 months at a time for the past 3 years. I had someone that could start it once a week for me.
If you can start it and let it run for 10-15 minutes at least once a week, every week, then you will be just fine.
Don't worry about it. Just keep under half a tank in it. With winter setting in, you do not have to worry about condensation forming inside your gas tank, watering it down. That stabilizer **** releases the water, disrupts the mixing, plus keeps it from doing the injector hardening ****...etc... You'll be fine. if you're running it once a week, that will be enough to circulate the tank and keep you **** from gettin messed up.

The gas is going to go bad whether you start the car or not. Unless you're burning off the entire tank (which you won't) it would be very wise to use stabilizer.

use stabilizer, trust me i know from a bad experience. i have an old bmw that sat for 2 months during the winter while i was fixing it and the gas went bad. i had to drain the entire fuel system and change the fuel filter. trust me u dont want that to happen to you, so use stabilizer

This guy has it right, although I personally would just take the battery out and store it inside. If your going to store you car just do what he said and leave the car alone for the 6 months.
