Walking is Still Honest

So I don't really have extra money right now to get new rims, but my current ones aren't looking so great (rust and what not). I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for restoration, my current plan is just sand em down and put on a flat black coat of paint. I figure that will at least look better then half rust half black paint.
