Default Stock D16Y7 Misfire HELP!!

I have a 98 Civic DX Coupe (D16y7) with a random misfire, and misfire in each cylinder as well. I recently replaced the dizzy cap, rotor, ignition coil, new ngk plugs, and new wires. Also had the timing belt done right after. I thought after i got it back after i sent it out for the timing belt the code would go away. I reset myself, and after 20 minutes of driving on the highway it came back on. It even sometimes flashes while I'm driving. I hate not being able to diagnose and fix on my own. I only sent my car to the local garage because i didn't want to make any mistakes on the timing belt, and still have problems...i don't feel comfortable enough to do it on my own yet, plus it's my DD so. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking about doing the Valve clearance to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. Would that possibly be the cause?

Doubtful. Do a compression test, and test your fuel pressure. Both tests are extremely simple, and you can rent the necessary tools from your local parts store.

When the CEL is flashing, that means you have a major misfire. You should pull over and stop the car immediately, or you'll risk doing damage to the engine.

I already checked the compression all are good. Also checked and cleaned fuel injectors. I know it's a major misfire...but it idols good....runs fine...sounds good. New fuel filter also. All the cylinders were at 180 psi ...except for #3 was at 165 psi....

Thats why i asked

Its the only other thing i can think of....but i figured my idol would be off to the point that i would notice if my CEL is flashing while i drive.

It could be. It could also be an intermittently failing distributor. Unfortunately, testing for intermittent problems is hit or miss.

How often does your car miss? A couple times a day? A week? A month?

It doesn't feel like it's misfiring at all. The CEL flashes about once a week...maybe less...the distributor consists of two parts no? Ignition coil, and ICM right?....i already changed the coil....so then change the icm??

No, it has a few parts in it. You can pull the ICM and have it tested, but you can still have a good coil, ICM, and a bad distributor.
