Maybe you should start by taking the intake tubing and box completely off and seeing how you like that. It shifts the powerband way up, but the response you get after 4000rpm is insane. I like it because if you're road racing you're usually up past 4k anyhow, so it gives you much finer control.

To be honest it's not really price, it's more a performance thing. I dont mind paying if its going to work. What I really dont want to loose is any of the drivability in the lower rev ranges, A little I can deal with but at the moment Im doing a lot of town driving, where stop start journeys are constant, I dont want it to be a ball ache !

As for AEM stuff, its expensive over here, but I'd import it myself anyway and deal with the cost that way.
