Still a problem
My del sol still will not start. I have checked EVERYTHING. ECU, MAP sensor, Distributor, main relay, spark plugs, timing belt, all the fuses, the plugs are dry, pretty much everything checks out Ok, it seems. The car does like it wants to start, but it will not fire up. When carb cleaner is sprayed in the intake it almost goes all the way, but it will not start. I'm getting fuel. Fuel pump is ok, fuel filter is ok, injectors are ok. I've just tried a little trick someone listed where you heat up the distributor. I am completely out of ideas. Compression is right where is should be. Distributor is good as a matter of fact, all spark plug wires are fine. Ignition coil is good, as is all of the sensors on it. I have even replaced it with a known good one. I am getting spark. I am getting air, I have compression, I have fuel. My next guess would be timing, but what do you know? The timing belt is perfectly lined up. It is almost new as a matter of fact. I have checked everyone one of the sensors that would cause it not start. Main relay, map sensor, tdc, tp, and the other one. Please, please help again! I 've checked numerous wires for shorts and come up with nothing. All fuses are fine. I'm also not getting any codes.
