Stereo Issue 99 Civic
I have a Kenwood stereo that is not responding to any buttons or remote. I did all the necessary unscrews to get to the stereo console and was able to un/replug it. I checked the cables and they look ok, except for one loose orange cable. There is a connector of sorts that has wires held together with electrical tape. Stereo still playing crap static station and unable to change. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Stereo Issue 99 Civic (schlit)
Stereo does turn on, but nothing shows on console, and no button pushing yield results.
Weird about orange wire, as dimmer to lights works. I will doublecheck the harness adapter wiring.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: Stereo Issue 99 Civic (gr8fl1)
is it a flip face? if so i bet it is the ribbon cable that connects the face to the unit itself... i have seen those go out many times
