Steering column question...
I have a 95 EX coupe (with PS rack but PS is not being used) and the spline where the steering wheel bolts down is stripped. I do have a steering column out of a 94 VX hatchback and was wondering if it could be swapped out?
I looked on hondapartscheap.com and the actual columns were different part numbers but the pivot joint at the end of the column that attaches to the rack is the same part number, meaning the spline on the end of the column and spline on the rack are the same and obviously the spline where the steering wheel slides onto it the same. I wonder if the column mouting points are different? which I doubt.. So I wonder if it would work. Any Ideas or input?
Thanks H-T!

Re: Steering column question...
Yeah I noticed that function would be done away with as well. I bet that is the reason for the part number difference. I just went in the coupe and took everything out of the way, then compared the two columns and it looks like it will swap out. I'll go ahead and give it a shot tonight and see how it goes.
Plus I'm not worried on losing tilt, I just want the wheel sturdy on the column. I'll keep the thread updated. Thank you for the quick reply!
