Steam / Oil coming out of bottom left valve cover bolt area PICS UP NOW
I have a b18c1 that recently had a new crank put in. There is also a JRSC on the engine. My question is that I was at a light and my car died because there (obviously) was not enough oil in my engine. Looking under the hood there was oil everywhere. I put more oil in my engine and let the car idle. Watching it I notice that there is a steam or something like that shooting up from the bottom left valve cover bolt area.
Any ideas? It also may be the vtec sylnoid too im thinking...
Need help ASAP

Please do take a pic. I think its your valve cover gasket or cam seal. It even can be a bad/striped head bolt

you have a supercharged GSR engine in your civic that was just recently worked on, correct?
yeah its possible someone didnt torque a bolt correctly. Was the head taken off for new studs, and someone didnt hondabond correctly?

x2. Buy a new valve cover gasket, buy some hondabond and buy a new vtec solenoid gasket. Hopefully that's all you'll need.

ok so i replaced the valve cover and solenoid gaskets and still the same. Car ran for about 5-10 seconds and then just slowly died. Car will not turn on at all now. While it was on steam/smoke was coming up. I opened the oil cap and steam/smoke was coming out of the engine (i say this because car only ran for max 25 seconds)

Car turns over and sounds like its trying to start but nothing. Oil light is on.
Oil pump?</TD></TR></TABLE>
No coolant in the block? Is there coolant at all? That could be what is causing the steam, broken gasget?..Maybe...What does it smell like?
It looks like the there is a bad seal between the distributer and the block...cause thats from what i see the location of the oil..

I think you should be as worried about a lil steam coming from your car when it died from having no oil. Why did you have your crank replaced? In doesnt start now? Sounds to me that when you lost all your oil, you spun you bearings, overheated the motor, blew your HG which explains the steam and lack of coolant and ruined your motor which is why it wont stay running.

Well at first I thought I didn't have any oil but after I put some in my car I noticed I had too MUCH, which would lead me to the oil pump not work.
edit: and there is coolant, when I said no coolant I mean inside the block (looked through the spark plug holes to see if HG blew)

So you have no coolant in the block, the oil light is on, the car steams from the valve cover, and you still ran it for 25 seconds? Hope you didn't do any further damage.
As for your car not starting, I would say bad head gasket. Did you check compression? If you noticed your oil was too high are you sure it isn't filled with coolant? How can you be positive your head gasket is fine by just looking down the spark plug holes?

Re: (RTI)
Well I guess I get people confused when I say there is no coolant in the block...when I say that I mean coolant where there isnt supposed to be...such as right next to the spark plugs. There is a normal amount of coolant in the car, my car did not over heat. While my car was running for those 25 seconds the oil light was not on, it is on afterwards although.
