So I install a fresh head in my z6 and install everything to plan but when I go to start it don’t start but only with starter fluid and it stays running with out starter fluid. but has a loud clicking sound almost like a bad case of lifter tick or something. Tried driving it off my driveway and it shut off

 

did you reconnect the ground wires at the thermostat housing ??

 

didn’t touch ground fuel pump primes as it should

 

mechanical timing is off. Double check that if you haven't already

 

it was loose valve lash, tightened them up and runs quiet and smooth, still has fuel issues

has a mega fuel leak at the top of the fuel rail, assuming o rings and also misses while idleing, the top of the injectors look wrapped probably from previous owner tightening fuel
rail hard as ****

 

Fix fuel leak and then go from there. Also clean the IACV.
