Starting problems...HELP!!
My car when I haven't turned it on for 8+ hours it gives me a little bit of trouble to start...it takes a lil longer crank and then it finally kicks in..when it finally turns out, it jerks/jump like it is about to turn off...then finally it stays on...but this is a problem that it is kind off weird..considering that I changed the Battery, Alternator, Starter, Main Fuel Relay and the Distributor is two years old...can anybody tell me what it is going with my car? Why does it take such a long crank to start....?

Edit--changed the fuel pump and it is still doing the same thing..

Re: Starting problems...HELP!!
wires, plugs, cap, rotor are new...
and I am starting to think that it might be something with the fuel..but I have tried before starting my car letting the key sit there for like 5 - 10 seconds before starting the vehicle...then when I crank it does the same thing....it cranks for like 3 seconds then it starts to jerk like it is going to turn off(car sounds weak) then it finally stays on(you can hear the power)...

Is the CEL ON? Does the CEL work?
When you turn the key to ON(II) without cranking the engine, do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds?
After the engine starts, does it run fine?

No I am not getting no check engine light...the only thing that I have notice is that when it starts to jerk like it is going to turn off is that the oil light goes on and off...that is the only thing that I have noticed in my dashboard...that it tends to do...
and what is the fuel pump priming??
and what is the fuel pump priming??

if you only turn the key hot one time then it may not prime the fuel enough to determine if that is the problem or not so, first thing you need to do is go key hot wait 5 secs then key all the way off and ket hot again untill it primes a few times and then see if it starts right up. if you dont have any real drivabillity problems then I would look at the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. if one of the injectors were leaking then it wouldnt run that good but the fuel pump and fpr should hold pressure on the line untill you come back so that the rail is already pressured and ready to go.

Yeah, my car runs great and has great amount of power....I don't feel any loss of power when I am driving..the only thing is that problem when I'm starting my car after not turning it on for like 8 or more hours..

Check your oil and make sure it's between the two marks on the dipstick.
Also, you don't test it by just plugging the key and waiting. You have to turn the key to II (ON) like Ron suggested and then wait a few seconds and then try turning on the car. If that helps it start faster, it might be a clogged fuel filter or maybe the fuel pump is old and not within spec. Some people also say that it's normal for the car to not start right away unless you wait a few seconds with the key in the II (ON) position so go figure...
Is the car parked on a steep or straight slope?

Re: Starting problems...HELP!!
The oil is fine...the car is parked on a straight slope.....and yeah, I am starting to think it might be something with the fuel pump because I doubt it has ever been replaced...the old owner of this car never took good care of it..
and yeah, I usually wait on the second ON position....like you can see in the video...the only difference is that in the video you might hear a clicking a couple of times and that was from the starter being bad...I replaced it and it does not do it anymore....but it is still taking a long crank when the car hasn't been turned on for a couple of hours..I will record another video tomorrow..I'ma try to use my camera instead of my phone so you guys can clearly hear what is going on...

In a quiet place, turn the key to ON(II), and then listen in the rear for the low humming noise of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds. You should hear this noise every time you turn the key from OFF to ON(II). If not, you have a main relay or fuel pump problem.

Re: Starting problems...HELP!!
I'ma try that tomorrow because earlier I turned the car on so I'ma have to wait a while till it does it again.....the way I turned it on today was by crank a little bit then letting go, then i went to crank again and it turned on right away.....can I do this? or is this going to burn my starter...??
Thank you for all your help...thank you all!!

Re: Starting problems...HELP!!
the other thing you can do is clamp the fuel return line and if the problem goes away then you know it is a fuel problem. once that is determined you should be able to take the return line off and when you just go key hot without cranking there should be no fuel coming out and if there is then the fpr is bad.

do you guys still think that it might be the fuel pump or the fuel pump regulator?? which one should i change first to minimize the problem?
