stale gas?
if my cars been sitting in my garage dead for the past 2 and a half months, and its been getting up to like 95 degrees out like every single day almost, and i have about 1/10th of a tank of gas... could it have lost its octane, and not allow my car to fire up? (using premium)

Re: stale gas? (ek forever guy)
well the thing is there was a problem that wasnt letting it run before, i think it had to do with the dizzy, so i replaced everything in the dizzy, and when i tried to fire it up, it just let out like one little puff of exhaust and smelled kinda wierd... and now it wont even do that anymore

Re: stale gas? (vtecpoweredsol)
Not the gas.
I have had cars in the shop that had year old gas and ran. Failed for CO but that is another story.
However the level might have dropped below what the pick-up needs. Throw another gallon in there just to make sure.
Or spray some in the throttle body and see if it will sputter.
