Re: ssr competition lookalikes (sean96ek)
watch out, a lot of people are against "knock-off" makes of rims...
which is funny cause, these are the same people who have a knock-off "jdm EG"... aka FAKE EG. Oh well...
They are nice, I'm kinda interested in the weight as well... as well as the sizes available and strength of the rim.

Why don't you just wait until you have enough money for the real SSR Competition rims, and then get them? I'm sure you don't need them right now!

I'm interested in these too. Where is the group buy hosted at? If it will make the rest of you happy I'll buy these and throw a thousand out my window on the freeway.

They are 13 lbs. or really close. I don't know about the groupbuy but they are only 99$ a piece on edgeracing.com

Re: ssr competition lookalikes (Takeoff)
First off... I own both the SSR Competitions (15x7) and the Flik Apex. I bought the Fliks the day before the Rota Attacks were announced. I'm not extremely happy with them. The other people that have seen them like them. Personally, the silver is a little too shiny, and up close, it kinda looks like somebody painted them with silver spraypaint. It's not bad looking, just nothing like the SSR's. I think they'd look better in one of the other colors (which they don't seem to have a picture of).
If I were buying a wheel today it would be either the Gram Light or the Rota Attack.
I primarily bought the Fliks because EdgeRacing carried the Falken Azenis so I could get both at one place and not have to go somewhere and pay for mounting.

I should add that the Flik picture isn't a good representation of the wheel. It's brighter than in the picture... think "satin aluminum" or something.
Anyway, I might try to get a pick of the two side by side tonight.
