i installed some used h&r race springs on my ek i got from a buddy... just installed them yesterday but the front of the car is a about half an inch higher than the rear its not my first pair of springs i install so yes the fronts and rears are where they are supposed to go.... do the springs take time to settle or what???

this is my second pair of these springs i had them on my eg coupe and the drop was about half an inch lower in the front so it was very noticeably lower in the front ... so i dont get why they sit like this in my ek

the front ones should have a tighter coil then the rears... sounds like they might be on backwards.

the front springs are a little bit higher than the rears by the way.... im guessing thats because of the weight of the car is more towards the front

That's odd, it suppose to be the opposite with H&R springs!

Sounds like you have the rears mixed with the fronts.

Or didn't cut your bumpstops. Or both.

Are they the right springs for the car? The front should be lower than the back b/c of the engine. You either installed them wrong or have wrong springs.

Why I don't like springs.

springs dont need to settle. and even if they did, theyd settle evenly which would put you where you are now. id double check your work. did you install just the springs or the springs and struts together. maybe the strut is not reinstalled properly. dont they have that groove that has to line up? its been a while since ive had my suspention apart so i really dont remember.

no i just installed the springs by themselves... one thing i suspect is that those are the wrong springs because i got them from somebody on a forum who told me they were the right ones so im guessing he was lying just to sell them

just remember the Thicker spring needs to be in the front and the skinnier one goes on the back. If you got it backwords u have no choice but to switch them
