Re: (akumaracer)
I've got a lighter yellow that I did mine. I'd definately suggest another color than yellow. It STAYS dirty.
EDIT: It's a sohc. PM me if you want pics.

Just fyi. If you didnt know allready.
The spoon valve cover is powder coated yellow and its smooth. No wrinkle finish so cleaning it is as easy as wiping it off.
So If you want to still do the color change look into how much it will cost to get your valve cover powder coated. That way it wont be nightmare to keep clean.
heres a pic.

Correct-o-mundo. Also, when you see the yellow paint starting to chip away, you being to see the red ITR valve cover underneath it (usually around the spark plug holes first).... after some serious abuse, it'll look like a McDonald's sponsored valve cover

weird......why wouldnt they just strip the red paint off? Were they trying
to keep the krinkle finish? I havnt seen a spoon valve cover in person,
that just seems kinda ghetto to me.

You honestly don't think it looks good now??
Theres no way I would have gone though and taped off, vaselined...whatever the letters, thats pretty time consuming... I was thinking of grinding the letters off before I would ever have taped them off.
