Default Spoon Rear Strut Tower Bar - Does it require modifications beyond cutting cargo lining?

I was thinking about getting a Spoon Rear Strut Tower Bar, but I was just reading the A&J Racing website and it says that "On EG/EK, the rear STB will require modifying or removing the rear panels."

http://www.aj-racing.com/spoon....html

What do they mean by this? For all you whom have installed a Spoon Strut Bar on a 96-00 Civic, did you have to modify anything beyond making a slit in the cargo lining?

Also, would the Mugen Rear Strut Tower Bar require any kind of modifications?

Emerika...nice answer... . dOOd...you just need to cut the slit in the rear to get the strutbar thru. Disconnect the bracket and bolt it down and stick it thru the slit. Then you can just bolt the bar back to the bracket...wOOt...You're done.

The mugen will fit the same as spoon. Both require cutting.

So by "modifying or removing the rear panels," they simply mean cut or remove the cargo lining just like with any other strut bar, right?
