Spoon N1 silencer
I came home from the dorms this weekend to find a large rectangular box with Spoon Sports written on the tape that was wrapped all over it. Lo and behold, my N1 silencer finally came. I spent the next 2 hours jacking up my EG, stressing that the rubber mounts won't come out, running over to kragen to get replacement mounts. I cut off the old mount using the handy saw from my swiss army knife. After that I put in the new exhaust and took it for a test run. A turn rom my ignition brought for a surprisingly loud rumble. I like it, the sound and everything. The idling sound just turns me on For everyone that's considering getting a Spoon N1, I highly recommend it. I'll get pix up as soon as my digital camera is done charging.

Re: (JayDieM)
It's nice, it's not as loud as everyone says they are with the silencer in. The silencer is really discreet, a lot of people couldn't even tell that it was in. It does not sound like rice at all, it's low and deep. Idling has a low/deep burble to it. When you rev you don't hear it anymore, it's all engine sound from there. However my mounts from Kragen are too small, so it's been melting the plastic on my bumper, I don't mind about that really, I'll shave it off some other time...does anyone have any suggestions for fixing that?

nice my buddy had a z-speed (spoon knock-off) and it sounded very similar to the spoon. it had a deep throaty tone that muffles your ears at 80mph.

Re: (whoDAT)
The pictures should be updated now. The muffler is done melting off my bumper and it created a little groove for itself. LOL! Anyways, I guess I like it like that, it did a custom job for me.

you didn't really have to cut off the rubber mounts. you could have just sprayed some wd40 on them, then they will slip right off with very little effort.

Re: (Airbag Club)
I've had my Spoon exhaust for months now. I cruise with the silencer on as to not attract attention. You're right, on idle the exhaust sounds stock, when on the throttle it has a deep nice tone to it. I haven't driven around without the silencer yet but I really don't feel the need to.

i was just going to say that! anyways it's done.
oh yeah, i was wondering if you have the spoon b pipe? or do you only have the muffler? i'm just wondering if the rumors are true about the spoon b-pipe having that resonator/rattling noise problem.

Re: (mantic6t9)
I have the stock B-pipe right now, but I have Toda headers coming in sometime next week, I'm probably going to do a custom pipe. I don't that the Spoon b-pipe has that rattling noise, I hear it from my muffler. But I stopped hearing it after I took the silencer off. The muffler is REALLY loud with the silencer off, I think I'm going to put it back on sometime.
I couldn't find any WD-40 in my house, which was kinda strange, so being the lazy person that I am, I walked about 20ft. farther than my nearest market and picked up exhaust mounts from Kragen instead.
And as for washing my car, I'm not going to do that until my suspension comes in which would be about 2-3 weeks.
