Default SPOON guru's need your help.

Wanted to know if these mirrors are real or fake. I did some research on these forums and couldn't come to my own conclusion(I've been told they are the Gen 1 plastic ones). Some background on these, it came with the car that I bought and I got a pretty good deal on the car. I thought they were fake so I took them off and tried to sell them as replica's yet I got no bites so I didn't sell them. My car came with some other "real deal" items such as Veilside hood which I couldn't give away to my friends (sorry I'm not giving it away to strangers) Spoon calipers with 5 lug conversion which I sold because I just didn't want it. id say fake, spoon mirrors have always been like a blue tint.

yeah, about that when I got them the "blue" finish on them wasn't in the greatest shape. So when I was trying to sell it I took one of those cell-o scrubbers to it.

thanks for the help, looks like they are fakes. They are not going back on car then.

The base plates are real. Vision/Spoon mirrors use oem honda base plates. If they are 1st gen, they would have a rubber lining around the actual mirror and they should be plastic housings. They tend to fall off but leave some line around the mirror.

I like how people are quick to say they're fake but don't explain why because they don't know.

I'm glad there is someone out there who knows about the 1st Gen Spoon plastic mirrors. Funny thing is that now I still don't know if these are legit(because the previous owner might have took the rubber lining off).
