Default Spoon chip

i recently bought a spoon chip xh4 p30 from ebay. My current mods are light nothing on the engine just slap ons filter, exhaust n FIELD sfc vtec controller. After i install the spoon chip, i realise black smoke from the exhaust n the throttle was heavy from 1k to 4k (vtec on at 4800) but vtec on i could feel the huge power band. so i decided to try tuning it with FIELD, from 1k to 5k(vtec at 5500) d throttle now is light with plenty of torque but i could not get the vtec kick from the spoon chip like b4. Its either torque b4 vtec or torque at vtec. i wana hv both. Could some1 plz help me out. or is it spoon chip are meant to be rich under 4 k?

those "spoon" chips aren't really from spoon. basically, all they do, is remove your rev limiter and dump TONS of fuel into the engine. thats why you're seeing black smoke out your exhaust.

i have an apexi timer with air-fuel reading in it. How accurate is this air-fuel meter? besides after installing it. AT full throttle it reads 12.0 but at constant speed it reads 16. and above. wats wrong here?

what engine do you have?

first off get rid of that cheap "spoon chip" ****, its doing more harm than good. Secondly i wouldn't mess with the vtec crossover point. you will not get any gains, especially from the level of mods you have.
